Trickstar Lycoris

Trickstar Lycoris first appeared in the Code of the Duelist expansion before being reprinted as a Super Rare in the 2018 Mega-Tin Mega Pack. Introduced during the VRAINS era of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, the Trickstar archetype was designed to pressure opponents through burn damage, punishing them for adding cards to their hands. Lycoris, specifically, serves as a core engine for the strategy by providing a method to Special Summon herself from the hand while bouncing another Trickstar monster back to the controller's hand.

The card art follows the thematic aesthetic of the Trickstar archetype, which draws inspiration from Japanese idol culture and poisonous flowers.
