Twister

Twister was released in the 2009 Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Starter Deck, a product designed to introduce new players to the mechanics of the 5D's era of the trading card game. During this period, the game was transitioning to include Synchro Summoning, and starter decks were curated to provide essential utility cards that could help novices navigate common battlefield obstacles. As a Quick-Play Spell, the card served as a staple removal tool, allowing players to destroy face-up Spell or Trap cards at the cost of 500 life points, offering a flexible, reactive answer to an opponent's backrow.

The card's design features the typical aesthetic found in early 5D's era common cards, prioritizing functional clarity for a younger, broad-reaching audience.
