Provenance

Where it came from

U.A. Signing Deal was released in the OTS Tournament Pack 14, a set distributed exclusively through Official Tournament Stores to reward players participating in local competitive events. The card serves as a thematic expansion for the U.A. (Ultra Athletes) archetype, a series of Earth-attribute Warrior monsters designed to resemble various professional sports stars. The archetype was originally introduced in the core booster set The New Challengers, leaning into a distinctive 'fantasy sports' aesthetic that blends athletic performance with high-stakes trading card game mechanics.

The design of the card reflects the U.A. playstyle, which relies on tag-out mechanics to swap monsters during the turn. By functioning as a specialized recruiter that summons a U.A. monster directly from the deck, the card was crafted to increase the consistency and speed of these decks in competitive play. Like other entries in the OTS Tournament Packs, the Super Rare foil treatment was chosen to provide a visually distinct version of the card for collectors and tournament grinders, emphasizing its role as a functional tool within the U.A. strategy.
