UFO Turtle

UFO Turtle was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Metal Raiders expansion in 2002. As a Fire-attribute machine-type monster, it was designed to serve as a 'searcher' card, allowing players to pull another low-attack Fire monster from their deck upon destruction. This mechanic was a staple of the early game's design philosophy, emphasizing deck thinning and strategic recursion to maintain board presence.

The card was later reprinted in the Retro Pack, released in 2008 to provide players with easier access to foundational cards from the early sets. The design of the monster—a mechanical, hovering turtle—reflects the whimsical and industrial aesthetic characteristic of the franchise's early monster designs. It is widely recognized by long-term players for its utility in Fire-focused archetypes and its role as a functional bridge between the game's original release and subsequent eras.
