Ursarctic Mikbilis

Ursarctic Mikbilis was released in the 2021 Ancient Guardians booster set, a core booster expansion for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The Ursarctic archetype was introduced as a collection of high-level Water and Earth attribute monsters, designed around a unique summoning mechanic that utilizes the hand rather than the field. This design choice aimed to provide a thematic, aggressive playstyle that differentiates the theme from traditional synchro-summoning decks, emphasizing the astronomical and ursine motifs inherent to the series.

The artwork for the Ursarctic series draws heavy inspiration from celestial constellations, specifically the Great Bear, reflecting a blend of mechanical components and mythological star-beast aesthetics. As a Super Rare card, Mikbilis occupies a functional role within the engine, allowing players to special summon other Ursarctic monsters from their hand. The reception of the archetype has been generally focused on its niche viability, with players often noting the high cost of its summoning requirements as a defining element of its competitive profile.
