Where it came from
4 Week Lovers is an original net animation produced by the South Korean streaming platform Laftel. Released as part of the studio's initiative to expand its original content library, the series targets a demographic interested in contemporary romance and character-driven storytelling. It fits within the broader landscape of Korean web-based animation, which often prioritizes short-form, episodic narratives that resonate with younger audiences familiar with digital-first content consumption.
The design and aesthetic of the series reflect the clean, vibrant animation style common in modern Korean webtoons and digital shorts. By focusing on a structured four-week timeframe, the creative team aimed to explore the compression of romantic development and the nuances of human connection. The project was received as a localized effort to bolster the domestic animation industry, distinguishing Laftel as both a distributor and a creator within the competitive streaming ecosystem.
