Arinko Hepo: Futari no Himitsu Kichi

Arinko Hepo: Futari no Himitsu Kichi is a 2016 original net animation produced by Studio Nanahoshi. This short-form work emerged from the studio's interest in character-driven storytelling, often characterized by a whimsical, hand-drawn aesthetic that prioritizes charm and fluid expression over complex narrative arcs. It is part of the studio's broader efforts to create bite-sized, accessible content suitable for digital distribution platforms.

The production design reflects Studio Nanahoshi's distinct visual signature, which favors soft color palettes and exaggerated, emotive character designs. The intention behind the project was to capture a sense of childlike wonder and companionship, focusing on a quiet, intimate atmosphere. Upon its release, the project was recognized within niche animation circles for its technical execution and the studio's ability to maximize limited runtimes to convey a cohesive mood.
