Beelzebub: Kaiketsu!! Beel-bo Meitantei Suiri

Kaiketsu!! Beel-bo Meitantei Suiri was released in 2012 as a special short episode tied to the Beelzebub anime series, which was produced by Studio Signpost and based on the long-running manga by Ryuhei Tamura. The special functioned as an extra feature, shifting the tone of the series into a comedic mystery-solving scenario that showcased the absurd dynamic between the characters Tatsumi Oga and the infant demon Beelzebub.

The production utilized the core creative team responsible for the main television series, maintaining the show's signature frantic, slapstick-heavy visual style. Designed to reward dedicated fans of the manga and television adaptation, the short focused on lighthearted character interaction rather than the supernatural combat sequences that defined the primary narrative. It remains a minor but representative piece of the broader multimedia campaign launched to promote the manga's transition from the printed page to the screen.
