Boku no Hero Academia: Sukue! Kyuujo Kunren! follows class 1-A as they attempt to finally complete their training. However, there's a masked figure roaming around the training center. Where it came from
Released in 2017, Boku no Hero Academia: Sukue! Kyuujo Kunren! is an original video animation produced by studio Bones. It was bundled as an exclusive feature with the limited edition release of the thirteenth volume of Kohei Horikoshi’s manga series in Japan. The project served as a creative bridge between the first and second seasons of the anime adaptation, offering fans an original standalone narrative that expanded on the high-stakes training environment of U.A. High School.
The episode features an original script that integrates the core cast into a rescue-focused training scenario, emphasizing the collaborative dynamics between Class 1-A students. Directed by Kenji Nagasaki, who also helmed the primary television series, the OVA retains the vibrant aesthetic and fluid action choreography that defined the studio's early work on the franchise. It was received by the community as a welcome supplement that provided character-driven moments outside the constraints of the main serialized arcs.
