"Dragons"... from ancient times, they were considered fictional creatures, but they're not actually fictional, nor are they technically creatures. They are heteromorphic beings, and many of the deaths in London can be attributed to them. But most citizens in London don't know what dragons look like or know they even exist. Only those who live in Reverse London can see them. In Reverse London, there was an agency called Wing Bind (WB for short) that was in charge of protecting and managing the dragons. Where it came from
Burn the Witch #0.8 serves as a special prologue chapter to Tite Kubo's fantasy manga series, set within the same universe as his previous work, Bleach. Released in 2023, the chapter was produced by Studio Colorido to precede the animated adaptation of the manga's original short serialization. The narrative shifts focus to the events occurring before the established timeline of the series, expanding on the lore of Reverse London and the work of the Wing Bind organization.
The visual direction for the special follows the established aesthetic of the Burn the Witch adaptations, blending sharp, modern character designs with the distinctive urban fantasy atmosphere Kubo created. The production was intended to bridge the gap between existing fans of Kubo’s work and new viewers of the animation project. It was received as a stylistic expansion of the franchise, emphasizing character-driven storytelling within the supernatural structure of the series.
