Chibizenji-sensei Inokori Kougiroku

Chibizenji-sensei Inokori Kougiroku was released by Pony Canyon in 2025 as a short-form original net animation (ONA). The production emerged from a contemporary trend in Japanese animation favoring bite-sized, character-driven storytelling, designed to appeal to digital-native audiences who prioritize quick, digestible narrative beats. It functions as a comedic exploration of school-life tropes, centering on the interaction between an eccentric teacher and their students during after-school detention.

The visual design prioritizes a minimalist, expressive aesthetic that leverages the limitations of the short-form format to create high-impact comedic timing. By utilizing a simplified art style, the production team emphasized character personality over complex background animation. Upon its debut, the series was received as a lighthearted contribution to the slice-of-life genre, noted specifically for its self-aware humor and the distinct personality of the titular character.
