Circlet Princess

Circlet Princess premiered in 2019 as an anime television series produced by the animation studio SILVER LINK. The project originated from a multimedia franchise developed by DMM Games, which featured a concept where high school girls compete in a localized, tech-augmented sport known as 'Circlet Bout.' The series was designed to blend the traditional sports anime structure with sci-fi elements, centering on a group of protagonists who form a struggling team in an attempt to rise through the rankings.

The production sought to capitalize on the rising popularity of competitive school-based fantasy series, utilizing character designs that emphasized the colorful, action-oriented aesthetic common to late 2010s light novel adaptations. While the series was a notable project for the studio, it received a modest critical reception, often noted for its straightforward adaptation of the original game's lore and its focus on character-driven team dynamics within the specific limitations of its sport-based premise.
