Where it came from
The Kiseki no BABA Gekijou is a specialized collection of short comedic sketches released in 2010 as a promotional accompaniment to the Code Geass franchise. Produced by Sunrise, these shorts were designed to provide a lighthearted counterpoint to the intense, politically charged narrative of the main television series, utilizing the iconic character designs of the CLAMP collective to depict the cast in exaggerated, chibi-style scenarios.
These vignettes were primarily included as bonus features on home media releases, serving as a reward for dedicated fans of the series. The reception of these shorts was largely positive among the existing fanbase, as they offered a rare opportunity to see the protagonists in a relaxed, non-canonical setting, effectively humanizing the complex and often tragic figures of the Lelouch of the Rebellion storyline through gentle satire.
