Where it came from
Crystal Clear was released by the independent label RX-Records during a period when the studio was experimenting with minimalist electronic arrangements and high-fidelity production techniques. Created as a standalone single, the track was intended to showcase a departure from the heavier, industrial sound that previously defined the label's output, aiming instead for a refined, ambient aesthetic that prioritized texture and spatial depth.
The visual identity for the release was handled by the label's in-house design team, who opted for a stark, monochromatic cover that mirrored the auditory clarity of the record itself. Upon its release, the work received quiet praise from underground music critics who noted its technical precision, positioning RX-Records as a versatile player within the experimental electronic scene of the time.
