D5 Xiaodui 2

D5 Xiaodui 2 is an original net animation produced by the Chinese gaming and technology giant NetEase. Released as a follow-up to the studio's broader initiatives in digital storytelling, the series was developed to expand upon the visual world-building established in the first iteration. It reflects the studio's ongoing effort to bridge the gap between their interactive game design and serialized narrative animation, focusing on high-fidelity character models and fluid action sequences.

The creative direction for the D5 series prioritizes a distinct aesthetic that aligns with contemporary Chinese animation trends, blending stylized character designs with atmospheric, immersive environments. As a production born from NetEase's in-house creative teams, the project was intended to serve both as a standalone viewing experience and a thematic expansion of their existing intellectual properties. Upon its release, it was noted for its technical polish and remains a representative example of the studio's foray into prestige digital animation formats.
