Where it came from
Daisuki na Haha is an original video animation (OVA) released in 2018 by the animation studio Bunny Walker. It emerged during a period of niche independent adult animation production, characteristic of studios that focus on specific stylistic subgenres. The project was developed to cater to a target audience seeking particular narrative and aesthetic tropes common to the studio's specialized portfolio, reflecting the industrial trend of small-scale studios producing self-contained, high-intensity works for digital and physical distribution.
The production relies on standardized character design motifs favored by Bunny Walker to maintain a recognizable visual continuity across their releases. As an entry in a competitive and specialized market, the title was designed with a focus on specific character archetypes and tonal delivery intended to resonate with established followers of the genre. Like many releases from independent studios in this field, its reception is primarily localized within enthusiast communities that follow the output of specialized animation houses.
