Where it came from
Daisuki tte Imi dayo originated as a recurring musical segment within the NHK children's program Minna no Uta. Since its debut in the late 20th century, the program has served as a cultural fixture in Japan, commissioning short animated films to accompany original songs that focus on themes of empathy, childhood, and nature. This specific production was crafted to align with the show's mandate to provide high-quality, thoughtful media for a young audience.
The visual design of the segment reflects the collaborative aesthetic standard of NHK's animation division, prioritizing clean, emotive linework and a gentle color palette designed to foster a sense of comfort. It was received by the Japanese public as a quintessential example of the network's long-standing effort to blend education with artistic expression, solidifying its place in the extensive archive of the Minna no Uta songbook.
