Detective Conan vs. Wooo

Detective Conan vs. Wooo is a promotional short film produced by TMS Entertainment and released in 2011. It was created as a cross-promotional campaign between the long-running Detective Conan anime series and Hitachi’s 'Wooo' line of television sets. The short serves as a lighthearted bridge between the world of international mystery and the consumer electronics market of the era, leveraging the recognizable character designs of Conan Edogawa to showcase the crisp visual fidelity of the sponsored product.

The animation maintains the classic aesthetic established by the Detective Conan television series, featuring character designs overseen by the production team at TMS Entertainment. It was designed to function as an engaging commercial piece rather than a canonical entry in the overarching narrative. While it is rarely discussed in the context of high-art animation, it is noted by collectors as a distinct example of corporate-sponsored media that successfully integrates a well-known cultural icon into a domestic, tech-focused setting.
