Detective Conan: Zero's Tea Time

Zero's Tea Time is a spin-off of the long-running Detective Conan franchise, developed by TMS Entertainment and released in 2022. It serves as a focused character study of Rei Furuya, a complex figure who operates under three distinct identities: the detective Toru Amuro, the cafe employee Bourbon, and the National Police Agency operative Zero. The project was created to provide fans with a more intimate perspective on the daily life and fragmented persona of this popular character outside the main narrative's high-stakes mystery plots.

The animation was produced by TMS Entertainment, the studio long responsible for the main Conan series, ensuring visual consistency with the established aesthetic. The series was designed to lean into a more relaxed, slice-of-life tone compared to the traditional procedural intensity of the source material. Upon release, it was well-received by the established fanbase for its detailed character work, effectively balancing the mundane aspects of the protagonist's multiple occupations with the underlying tension of his clandestine commitments.
