Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash: Chapter Chitose

Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash, known in Japan as Jashin-chan Dropkick, is a comedy anime series adapted from the manga by Yukiwo. The series gained significant traction for its absurd humor and its unique production model, which relies heavily on crowdfunding and municipal partnerships to fund its seasons. The Chapter Chitose special, released in 2020, was produced by Studio Nomad as a part of this wider push to expand the franchise’s footprint beyond traditional broadcast models.

The character Chitose is central to the series' chaotic narrative, serving as part of the supporting cast that complements the central dynamic between the demon Jashin-chan and the human Yurine. The design of these shorts adheres to the established aesthetic of the series, characterized by high-energy slapstick and distinctive, expressive character models. These special episodes were aimed at maintaining fan engagement during the gaps between primary season releases, reflecting the production team's commitment to sustaining a dedicated community of viewers.
