On an ordinary planet in the distant future. Humans have long been at war with the mechanical aristocrats called "Hyperion." This is the story of Drossel, a Hyperion and the daughter of the Duke von Flügel, and her butler Gedächtnis in the Tower of Tempest, isolated from the outside world. Their daily tasks revolve around managing problems that occur in their high-rising castle-tower while awaiting the day the stars realign themselves.

Where it came from
Fireball Humorous was produced by Walt Disney Studios in 2017 as part of a strategic initiative to expand their digital-first animation presence. Emerging within a landscape increasingly defined by short-form, platform-agnostic content, the series was designed to leverage the studio's deep history of character-driven comedy while adapting to the rapid, snappy pacing required for online audience engagement.
The creative direction focused on high-energy visual humor and accessible, slapstick-heavy narratives intended for a broad demographic. By prioritizing iterative character design and flexible animation techniques, the team aimed to create a modular style that could thrive across social media and streaming platforms. Upon its debut, the series was recognized for its technical efficiency and commitment to maintaining the studio's recognizable aesthetic standards within a contemporary digital framework.
