Dead of overwork at age 27...
Midori barely had time to lament having to die that way when a god appeared before her and said, "You will reincarnate in another world and tell me whether you think humans deserve to continue existing there. In return, I will grant you a special power." Then Midori, hoping to relieve the exhaustion of the harsh life she'd lived, found herself asking... to cuddle cute, fluffy animals.
Thus Midori reincarnated in her new world as a young girl named Nefertima, with a power that causes her to be loved by all living things other than humans. That includes not only animals, but holy beasts like white tigers and dragons, and even monsters like goblins and frozen spiders! But there was also a cruel fate awaiting her...
Nefertima is determined to do her best to coexist with humans and all living creatures in her new life of petting and patting cute animals!

Where it came from
Fluffy Paradise, known in Japan as Fuwa Fuwa Paradise, is a 2024 original net animation produced by Studio EMT Squared. The series emerged as a gentle addition to the studio's catalog, focusing on the popular aesthetic of therapeutic, slice-of-life storytelling that has become a staple of modern short-form animation. It was designed to provide a brief, calming experience for viewers, leaning into character-driven humor and a soft visual palette that characterizes current trends in comfort-focused anime.
The production reflects the studio's technical approach to maintaining high-quality character designs within a truncated format. By prioritizing expressive, fluid motion for its central creatures over complex narrative arcs, the creators intended to evoke a sense of playfulness and whimsy. Upon its release, the series was received as a lighthearted, low-stakes viewing experience, finding its audience among fans who prioritize atmospheric, character-centric shorts.
