Girls und Panzer das Finale - Part 2

Girls und Panzer das Finale - Part 2 was released in 2019 as the second installment in a six-part theatrical film series that serves as a direct sequel to the original television anime and the 2015 feature film. Produced by Studio Actas, the project continues the narrative focus on the sport of sensha-do, or tankery, where high school students participate in strategic tank battles. This installment was created to expand upon the tournament arc introduced in Part 1, further developing the competitive stakes for the Oarai Girls Academy team as they face off against the formidable Chi-Ha-Tan Academy.

The film maintains the franchise's signature aesthetic, which blends detailed mechanical animation of historical tanks with the character-driven tropes of school-life anime. Directed by Tsutomu Mizushima, the production sought to escalate the scale of the engagements, utilizing a mix of traditional 2D animation and 3D digital effects to render the tactical maneuvers. Upon its release, the film was well received by the established fan base for its commitment to technical accuracy in tank mechanics and its signature lighthearted approach to the high-stakes tactical sports premise.
