Bad Luck's lead singer and lyricist, Shuichi Shindo, is a total wreck. With deadlines for the band's next album looming, the pressure is on, but the normally energetic Shuichi has become listless and fallen into a writing slump. It's all because Yuki - the great love of his life - has suddenly become cold and distant. Depressed and anxious, Shuichi doesn't want to think about lyrics - he just wants to know how to get Yuki to talk to him!
Now, thanks to Shuichi's big mouth bragging to the press about how talented he is, the band can't even hire someone else to write the lyrics for them. If they don't manage to break Shuichi out of his slump soon, it could mean the end of Bad Luck for good!

Where it came from
Gravitation: Lyrics of Love was produced by Studio Plum and released in 1999 as a two-episode original video animation. It serves as an early animated adaptation of Maki Murakami’s popular manga series, which chronicled the chaotic romance between an aspiring musician and a guarded novelist. This production emerged during a period of burgeoning interest in shōnen-ai media, aiming to capture the series' blend of melodrama and high-energy music industry subculture for an existing fan base.
The character designs and animation direction sought to translate Murakami’s distinct, stylized aesthetic into a dynamic format, emphasizing the vibrant, often intense personalities of the main characters. While the ova served as a promotional bridge to the later, more comprehensive television series, it is remembered by enthusiasts for its unique visual approach and its role in establishing the franchise's multimedia footprint at the turn of the millennium.
