Where it came from
Hallelujah: Unmei no Sentaku was released in 2020 as a promotional original net animation intended to bridge the narrative gaps within the Monster Strike franchise. Produced by Yokohama Animation Lab, the series was designed to showcase the complex evolution of the game's core characters, specifically focusing on the internal conflicts and moral quandaries faced by the protagonist as he navigates the game's expansive multiverse.
The animation style and character designs were crafted to align with the established aesthetic of the Monster Strike mobile game while elevating the visual storytelling for a digital audience. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a high-production-value service to the existing player base, praised for its fluid action sequences and its role in deepening the lore of a franchise that had already established a significant cultural footprint in Japan.
