Haru ni Nattara: Koguma no Yuugo Monogatari

Haru ni Nattara: Koguma no Yuugo Monogatari, or When Spring Comes: The Story of Yuugo the Bear Cub, is a stop-motion animated film crafted by Tomoyasu Murata. Produced by his independent studio, Tomoyasu Murata Company, the work reflects the artist's signature approach to tactile, handmade storytelling. Murata is well-regarded for his patience and artisanal technique, which prioritizes the subtle interplay of shadow, texture, and emotional resonance over high-gloss digital aesthetics.

The narrative centers on the gentle discovery and emotional growth of a bear cub, serving as a quiet meditation on the passage of time and the cyclical nature of the seasons. Much like Murata's other works, the film emerged from an independent production environment that favors long-form artistic exploration. Upon its release, it was met with appreciation in film festival circuits and among enthusiasts of traditional animation, recognized for its poignant pacing and the distinct, soft-edged quality of its character designs.
