Where it came from
Haru no Ashioto The Movie: Ourin Dakkan was produced by Asahi Production and released in 2006 as an original video animation, or OVA, based on the adult visual novel developed by Minori. The project emerged during a period in the mid-2000s when successful eroge titles frequently saw adaptations into supplemental animated media, aimed at expanding the narrative reach of the original game's romantic drama for its established fan base.
The production sought to translate the aesthetic of the original visual novel to the screen, focusing on the character-driven storytelling typical of the genre. While Asahi Production handled the animation, the work functioned primarily as a companion piece to the core source material. It was received largely by existing enthusiasts of the franchise, serving as an extension of the visual novel's thematic explorations of relationships and seasonal themes.
