Hell Teacher Nube: 0 a.m. Nube Dead

Hell Teacher Nube: 0 a.m. Nube Dead was released in 1997 as part of the Toei Anime Fair, serving as the third theatrical installment for the popular Jigoku Sensei Nube franchise. Produced by Toei Animation during the height of the original manga's popularity in Weekly Shonen Jump, the film was designed to bring the supernatural classroom horror-comedy to the big screen with expanded animation quality and high-stakes supernatural threats. It continues the narrative of Meisuke Nueno, a teacher who utilizes his demonic hand to protect his students from malevolent spirits.

The production team maintained the established character designs from the television series, focusing on balancing the series' signature mix of eerie urban legends and comedic student-teacher interactions. The film was directed to cater to the core demographic of young fans who followed the manga and its successful television anime adaptation. Upon its release, it was received as a standard extension of the franchise's established tone, functioning as a mid-length feature that solidified the series' presence in the late 1990s anime landscape.
