Himote House: Dai Panic! Minna de Gokiburi Taiji

Himote House: Dai Panic! Minna de Gokiburi Taiji was released in 2021 as an original video animation that serves as a continuation of the Himote House television series. The original 2018 anime was produced by Bouncy and directed by Kotaro Ishidate, known for his work on projects like Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono. The series centers on five girls living together in a share house, utilizing a distinctive 3D computer-generated animation style designed to emphasize comedic timing and improvisational-style dialogue.

The production sought to maintain the quirky, character-driven charm of the original broadcast through a short-form format. The animation focuses on the group's interactions as they deal with a cockroach infestation, reflecting the show's penchant for turning mundane domestic tasks into absurd, dialogue-heavy scenarios. Upon release, it was received as a niche expansion for the established fanbase, appreciated primarily by those who followed the series' unique blend of slice-of-life tropes and experimental production techniques.
