HOLOLIVE ALTERNATIVE Teaser PVs

Hololive Alternative was unveiled in early 2021 as a sprawling multimedia project by Cover Corp, designed to expand the narrative universe of their virtual talent agency. The project serves as an immersive storytelling initiative, moving beyond the traditional livestreaming format to explore the internal mythologies and fantasy settings of the company's various performers. By weaving together the distinct personalities of the talents into a cohesive, high-fantasy lore, Cover Corp sought to deepen fan engagement and build a lasting intellectual property that transcends individual video performances.

The teaser PVs were animated by various internal and external creative teams to showcase this expansive world, focusing on cinematic visuals and emotive character designs that elevated the talents beyond their typical 2D avatars. These shorts were received with significant enthusiasm from the global community, who praised the high production values and the ambition of creating a unified canon for the Hololive brand. The visual direction aimed for a blend of vibrant aesthetic appeal and atmospheric storytelling, establishing a foundation for the subsequent manga, games, and supplementary projects that define the Alternative initiative today.
