The four goddesses, who gather after a long time, are having a good time as usual. During the vacation, Nepgear and other sisters go to the mountains to wander around. After going through the stretch of a long torii (Shinto shrine archway), the sisters wander off into a different dimension. Where it came from
Released in 2019, Hyperdimension Neptunia: Neptune's Summer Vacation serves as an original video animation (OVA) episode for the long-running Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise. Produced by studio Okuruto Noboru, the project was designed to celebrate the series' history by reuniting the main cast in a lighthearted, standalone summer-themed narrative that mirrors the comedic and meta-fictional tone established in earlier television iterations.
The animation focuses on the core CPU characters and their younger sisters as they spend time at the beach, leaning into the franchise's penchant for fan service and video game parodies. While the animation style intentionally maintains the bright, colorful aesthetic characteristic of the series, the production received a mixed reception from the core fanbase, who noted the shift in studio personnel compared to the original 2013 anime series while appreciating the return to the characters' established banter.
