Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Movie

The Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- movie serves as a major cinematic expansion of the multimedia franchise created by King Records. Released in 2025, the film was produced by the acclaimed studio Polygon Pictures, known for its distinctive approach to 3D computer-generated animation. The project was designed to transition the franchise's established narrative—which centers on rap battles in a futuristic Japan where lyrics can influence reality—into a high-fidelity visual experience that bridges the gap between the character-driven music albums and the series' existing television adaptations.

The animation direction reflects a concerted effort to maintain the stylized aesthetic of the Hypnosis Mic universe while utilizing Polygon's technical expertise to render complex performance sequences. By placing the narrative in a feature-length format, the creative team aimed to explore deeper character dynamics and provide a spectacle that could not be achieved within the constraints of a standard episodic series. Upon its debut, the film was received as a milestone for the franchise, drawing significant attention from the existing fan base for its ambitious departure from traditional 2D animation styles.
