Where it came from
I'll Make a Habit of It, known in Japan as Watashi wa Nido to Shinai, was released in 1994 by Studio Kikan. This OVA series emerged during a period when the studio was active in producing niche animation projects, often focusing on contemporary dramas and character-driven narratives that were popular in the direct-to-video market of the early nineties.
The production reflects the aesthetic sensibilities of mid-nineties OVA animation, characterized by a grounded, somewhat minimalist visual style typical of titles aimed at a more mature, specific demographic. While it remains a relatively obscure entry in the broader landscape of Japanese animation, it serves as a representative example of the studio's attempt to engage with themes of interpersonal relationships through the serialized storytelling format prevalent at the time.
