He’s superpowered in the most unexpected of ways with abilities even the strongest of heroes would envy. Where it came from
I've Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills originated as a light novel series written by Shobonnu and illustrated by Sogawa, later finding its way into a manga adaptation before receiving this anime television series adaptation in 2022. Produced by studio A-CAT, the series is part of the long-running 'isekai' subgenre, focusing on a protagonist who finds that his dedication to agricultural and rural skills inadvertently grants him overwhelming power, subverting typical combat-focused narratives.
The production team at studio A-CAT aimed to capture the lighthearted, pastoral atmosphere of the source material while maintaining the action-oriented progression required by the genre. The series was designed as a comfort-oriented fantasy, emphasizing the contrast between mundane farm chores and extraordinary abilities. Upon release, it was noted by audiences for its specific focus on non-traditional leveling systems and its earnest approach to the rural protagonist's humble aspirations.
