I Wanna

I Wanna, a single released by the Allman Brothers Band in 1991, emerged during a period of rejuvenation for the group following their late 1980s reformation. The track was featured on their ninth studio album, Shades of Two Worlds, which marked a sophisticated return to the blues-rock fusion that defined their early career. It served as an example of the band's ability to integrate polished 90s production values while maintaining the improvisational spirit of their classic lineup.

The songwriting reflects the band's collaborative effort, capturing a contemporary melodic sensibility tailored for radio airplay while staying tethered to their Southern rock roots. The release was received as a professional, mature entry into their discography, showcasing Gregg Allman's soulful vocal delivery and Warren Haynes's influential guitar work. It remains a representative piece of the transitional era that successfully introduced the band to a new generation of listeners.
