Jiadao Zhong Er

Jiadao Zhong Er, released as an original net animation by iQIYI, emerged during a period of rapid expansion for the Chinese animation industry. The title reflects the studio's broader efforts to adapt popular web novels and online literature into serialized short-form digital media, aiming to capture the interest of younger demographics who frequent streaming platforms for high-concept, stylized storytelling.

The creative direction behind the project emphasizes the intersection of traditional aesthetic sensibilities with modern digital production techniques. By focusing on themes prevalent in contemporary online subcultures, the design team sought to provide an immersive, episodic experience. While reception was largely localized to the platform's primary user base, the work serves as a representative example of how streaming giants like iQIYI leveraged localized intellectual property to differentiate their content libraries from traditional television programming.
