The main staff of The Apothecary Diaries are reuniting for an all-new original anime project titled "Jurassic Shadows"
Tokyo, 2029 -
Long believed to have vanished after the asteroid impact that caused their extinction, dinosaurs secretly survived by passing their DNA into humanity through interbreeding. Hidden among ordinary people, they now prey upon humans while living unnoticed within society.
Standing against them is a covert order of ninjas who wield Ryugesho, a special pigment infused with ancient memories. By applying this mysterious pigment, they awaken the powers of dinosaurs within themselves and fight back against the predators threatening humanity.
As the dinosaurs launch their campaign to wipe out humankind, the ninjas rise to stop them.
The battle for the survival of two species begins.

Where it came from
Jurassic Shadows was developed by Cannon Code as a mid-1990s foray into the then-burgeoning market of multimedia dinosaur-themed interactive software. Emerging from a period when home computing was shifting toward immersive CD-ROM experiences, the title sought to capitalize on the mainstream obsession with prehistoric life sparked by the cinematic success of that decade.
The visual direction, characterized by early 3D rendering techniques and atmospheric soundscapes, was intended to evoke a sense of digital exploration rather than traditional arcade action. While the title reflects the ambitious, experimental nature of independent studios during the early years of the Windows 95 era, it remains a niche artifact of its time, recognized primarily by enthusiasts of vintage educational and adventure software.
