A "science trouble" romantic comedy OVA bundled with the manga's fourth volume. It follows a high school boy named Komaba Haruki and his two girl friends: the cyborg girl Airi, and the half-dog girl Ayana. The two go to extremes with the power of science, which only gets Haruki involved in ecchi troubles.

Where it came from
Kagaku na Yatsura is a two-part original video animation series released in 2013 by Hoods Entertainment, based on the seinen manga series by Yuhki Hijiri. The project was conceived during a period when the studio was active in adapting niche manga titles into short-form anime content, often leaning into the ecchi genre popular within late-night broadcast and direct-to-video markets at the time.
The animation focuses on the comedic interactions between a high school student and a group of scientifically-minded female characters, reflecting a design philosophy centered on character-driven tropes common in early 2010s anime production. While it served to expand the reach of the original source material, it remains a relatively obscure title that garnered little mainstream critical reception outside of the dedicated fan communities focused on its specific subgenre.
