Where it came from
The RG (Real Grade) line, launched by Bandai in 2010, was designed to bridge the gap between the accessible HG series and the complex MG line, aiming to provide high-detail models in a compact 1/144 scale. The XARX-ZERO represents the ongoing commitment to engineering intricate internal skeletal frames, or 'Advanced MS Joints,' which allow for a greater range of articulation and mechanical realism than previous iterations of the Mobile Suit.
Development of this kit was centered on the meticulous recreation of mechanical aesthetics, emphasizing the interplay between armor plating and inner machinery. Collectors and modelers have generally praised the RG line for its sophisticated color separation and realistic surface detailing, which often mirrors the aesthetic sensibilities of Sunrise's production designs while offering a challenging, rewarding build experience for enthusiasts of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise.
