Kimberly Mahou Gakkou no Yukai na Nichijou

Kimberly Mahou Gakkou no Yukai na Nichijou, released in 2023, is an original net animation derived from the Reign of the Seven Spellblades light novel series authored by Bokuto Uno. The ONA was produced to function as a supplemental, lighthearted vignette series, designed to contrast the often high-stakes and perilous atmosphere of the primary television adaptation with a focus on the comedic daily interactions of the students at Kimberly Magic Academy.

The production sought to maintain the visual consistency established by J.C.Staff for the main series while leaning into a more stylized, chibi-influenced aesthetic to emphasize the humor. These shorts were received by fans as a gentle palate cleanser, offering deeper character moments that were otherwise condensed in the faster-paced main broadcast. The animation team utilized these shorts to explore the nuances of the lead characters' personalities in a low-pressure environment, solidifying the series' world-building through side narratives.
