Majestic Prince

Majestic Prince, an original mecha anime series produced by Doga Kobo and Orange, premiered in 2013 during a period when the genre was experiencing a renewed interest in high-fidelity 3D computer-generated combat sequences. The narrative follows Team Rabbits, a group of genetically engineered pilots tasked with defending humanity against an alien threat known as the Wulgaru, grounding the high-stakes science fiction premise in character-driven coming-of-age dynamics.

The series is noted for its visual identity, which successfully blended traditional 2D character designs with the fluid, dynamic 3D mechanical animations provided by Studio Orange. While the show was praised for its polished production values and energetic combat choreography, it is often remembered for its focus on the camaraderie of its ensemble cast, distinguishing it from more somber or cynical entries in the mecha genre during that era.
