Mo You Ji Rengongzhineng Fuzhu Pian

Mo You Ji Rengongzhineng Fuzhu Pian, or The Chasm Exploration Guide: Artificial Intelligence Auxiliary Chapter, is a short original net animation released in 2022. It serves as a supplementary promotional series for the video game Genshin Impact, specifically developed by HoYoverse to provide lore-heavy, educational background on the game's subterranean Chasm region. The series utilizes a distinct, stylized aesthetic that departs from the game's primary 3D engine to offer a more stylized and condensed narrative experience for the player base.

The series was produced in-house by the HoYoverse creative team to bridge gaps in player knowledge regarding the mysterious events within the Chasm. It was received as a functional and creative extension of the game's world-building, utilizing a lighthearted, instructional tone to explain complex environmental storytelling. By focusing on the interplay between the game's artificial constructs and the exploration mechanics, the production successfully distilled dense plot points into a format accessible to a wider audience of players.
