Where it came from
Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori was produced by studio Ajiado and premiered in 2020 as a continuation of the long-running Kaiketsu Zorori franchise, which originated from Yutaka Hara's popular children's book series. The project was conceived to celebrate the legacy of the fox protagonist, Zorori, and his two boar companions, Ishishi and Noshishi, bringing their whimsical pranks and adventures to a new generation of viewers while maintaining the spirit of the original literary source material.
The animation style overseen by Ajiado focuses on bright, expressive character designs that capture the slapstick humor and lighthearted mischief central to the franchise's identity. By modernizing the visual presentation while honoring the established character archetypes that Hara developed over decades, the series received a positive reception from established fans and younger audiences alike for its commitment to the charm and wit that have sustained the books since 1987.
