Where it came from
Murenase! Seton Gakuen EX: Juu Joshi-tachi no Yuzame Chuuihou is a special bonus episode released as part of the home video distribution for the 2020 anime adaptation of the manga series written and illustrated by Bungo Yamashita. Produced by Studio Gokumi, this installment serves as an original video animation that complements the main narrative, which explores a humorous take on high school life within an academy populated by anthropomorphic animal characters.
The animation focuses on the established comedic tone and character dynamics defined by the source material, emphasizing the series' core theme of species-based social commentary. Directed by Hiroshi Ikehata, the project was designed to expand upon the lighthearted, episodic nature of the television series. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a niche completionist piece for fans of the show's ensemble cast and its distinctive blend of absurdist humor and school-life tropes.
