Nerawareta Megami Tenshi Angeltia: Mamotta Ningen-tachi ni Uragirarete

Nerawareta Megami Tenshi Angeltia: Mamotta Ningen-tachi ni Uragirarete was produced by Studio PoRO and released in 2014 as an adult animated OVA. The title belongs to a niche sector of the industry characterized by a dark, subgenre-specific approach to storytelling that often focuses on the subversion of archetypal tropes. In the context of the early 2010s, works from this studio were frequently notable for their specific aesthetic and thematic focus on supernatural elements contrasted with human conflict.

The animation and character design for the title were executed in line with the studio's established house style, which prioritizes a grim atmosphere and high-contrast visuals to match the narrative's themes of betrayal and fall from grace. While the work functions primarily within an adult entertainment framework, its production reflects the broader industrial trend of the era toward adapting darker, more cynical narratives within the independent animation market. It received little critical attention outside of the dedicated enthusiast communities that track releases from this specific studio.
