Due to a mix-up, Shizumori's underwear ends up being put into the wrong locker by a classmate after P.E. Shizumori now has to spend half the school day without wearing any underwear until she is finally able to return to the locker room. Once there, she's surprised by Ozaki smelling her underwear. He gives her back her bra, but throws the rest on the ground. When Shizumori's leans down to grab it, he makes a candid shot of her wearing no underwear. Armed with photo-evidence of her being an "exhibitionist" he blackmails Shizumori into having sex with him.

Where it came from
Pet Life was released in 2011 as an original video animation (OVA) produced by Studio Mary Jane. The project emerged during a period of experimentation within the independent and boutique animation sectors in Japan, where studios often focused on niche, slice-of-life storytelling that prioritized atmosphere and character studies over traditional commercial action formats.
The production sought to capture the quiet, domestic nuances of human-animal companionship through a minimalist visual lens. By focusing on restrained animation techniques, the creative team aimed to evoke a sense of intimacy and daily routine, a design choice that was received by contemporary audiences as a modest but earnest contribution to the experimental animation landscape of the early 2010s.
