PetitCure: Precure Fairies Season 2

The PetitCure: Precure Fairies Season 2 series was released in 2025 as a digital-first ONA project produced by studio IKIF+. Following the conceptual framework established in the first season, this series continues the studio's focus on intimate, character-driven storytelling within the broader Precure franchise. The intent behind the series was to highlight the distinct personalities of the franchise's mascot characters, stripping away the high-stakes action of the main television entries to focus on slice-of-life interactions.

The character designs for this season maintain the signature aesthetic established by IKIF+ for the PetitCure line, utilizing clean, soft-edged animation techniques designed to emphasize the diminutive and expressive nature of the fairy characters. The aesthetic direction aims for a whimsical, high-clarity look that distinguishes these shorts from the more traditional hand-drawn action sequences found in the main anime series. The response has been characterized by positive reception from core fans who appreciate the expanded screen time for supporting characters that are often relegated to secondary roles in larger productions.
