Petit Clover Advance

Petit Clover Advance was released in 2018 under the auspices of Avex Pictures as a specialized production related to the Di Gi Charat franchise. This release was developed to celebrate the enduring legacy of the character set created by Koge-Donbo, which originally debuted in the late 1990s as the mascot for the Gamers retail chain. The production serves as a nostalgic expansion, intended to provide long-term fans with fresh content while maintaining the aesthetic charm of the original character designs.

The aesthetic direction of the project remains faithful to the 'moe' style that Koge-Donbo pioneered, characterized by large expressive eyes and distinctively detailed costumes. By 2018, the franchise had already established a significant cult following, and this specific release was aimed at the dedicated enthusiast market. It was received as a respectful homage to the series' roots, reflecting the evolution of character-based marketing in Japanese media where specific mascots transcend their initial retail purpose to become standalone icons.
