Satoshi (Ash)'s Pikachu and friends visit a town with a huge draw bridge, but problems arise when they come across Satoshi's Mijumaru (Oshawott) and Pokabu (Tepig), who have eaten the fruits that wild Gothimu (Gothita) and Darumakka had collected. They head off to collect fruits from the forest across the bridge, but then Nyarth (Meowth) appears and tries to steal the fruits. On top of that, the bridge is raised, blocking their passage. What will Pikachu do? The fight for the fruits begins!!

Where it came from
Pikachu no Summer Bridge Story, also known as Pikachu's Summer Bridge Story, was produced by OLM, Inc. as an original video animation special released in 2011. It serves as a side story to the fourteenth Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: Black—Victini and Reshiram and White—Victini and Zekrom, continuing the tradition of short features that showcase the whimsical, lighthearted adventures of Pikachu and other iconic Pokémon away from the main narrative conflict.
The short was designed to appeal to younger audiences by focusing on expressive character interactions rather than combat. The animation utilizes the established aesthetic of the Black and White era, emphasizing vibrant, saturated landscapes and fluid character movements. As with many of these annual shorts, it was created to complement the theatrical releases, offering a self-contained narrative experience that emphasizes themes of friendship and cooperation, which were central to the franchise's messaging during that period.
