Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf: Mission Incredible - Adventures on the Dragon's Trail

Released in 2013, Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf: Mission Incredible - Adventures on the Dragon's Trail serves as the fifth theatrical feature film in the long-running Chinese animated franchise. Developed by Creative Power Entertaining, the film was designed to capitalize on the massive cultural ubiquity of the television series during the early 2010s, utilizing a transition to high-definition digital animation to provide a more immersive visual spectacle for its primary audience of young children and families.

The film was directed by Liu Huiling and follows the series' established tradition of pitting the resourceful goat protagonists against the antagonist Wolf family in a fantasy-adventure narrative. By leaning into motifs of heroic quests and mythical dragons, the creators sought to expand the scope of the franchise beyond the domestic setting of the original show. Upon its release, the film was received as a standard entry in the series, meeting commercial expectations as a staple of Chinese family entertainment during the Lunar New Year film season.
